【Event Recap】”Bioethics Bridge Builders” Kick-Off Ceremony

We are excited to share that the “Bioethics Bridge Builders” Kick-Off Ceremony was successfully completed on 27 May 2025!

Bioethics Bridge Builder is a new community outreach initiative of the CUHK Centre for Bioethics, aiming to bring bioethics into the community and initiate meaningful dialogues through a range of activities led by student delegates.

✨Event highlights✨

• Sharing by Professor Philip Chiu, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine on the importance of bioethics amidst the era of technological advancement;

• Introduction by our Centre Co-Director Dr Ann Lau – the architect of the “Bioethics Bridge Builders”;

• Guests and the Bioethics Bridge Builders put the leaves filled with their wishes and blessings as seedlings and nutrients for the “Tree of Bioethics”;

• Design thinking workshop led by Dr Ann Lau, Dr Chelsea Sun and Dr Wai Tat Wong on the blueprint and upcoming activities of the Bioethics Bridge Builders, connecting the University with communities.
