掌握生命抉择 —《维持生命治疗的预作决定条例》研讨会

当生命悬于一线，法律、伦理与临床应如何引导决策？ 由香港中文大学生命伦理学中心联同大银、遗善最乐、香港生命伦理学会、香港生死学协会及香港预设照顾计划学会合办的掌握生命抉择 —《维持生命治疗的预作决定条例》研讨会，将汇聚学者、医护及社福界专业人士、以及社区代表，深入探讨这项新条例在晚期照顾中的意涵及影响。 届时，本中心将推出《维持生命治疗的预作决定条例：概要》，为与会者及公众提供清晰易懂的重点与实务指引。活动亦会讲解精神行为能力与预设照顾计划的重要概念，并设有座谈会，邀请不同持份者分享多元观点，透过讨论共同探讨和审视该条例在临床实践中的伦理涵义及实务应用。

[Harvard-CUHK Online Seminar] Mapping the Horizons of Global Bioethics for Education, Research, and Practice: Reflections for the Future

The online symposium “Mapping the Horizons of Global Bioethics for Education, Research, and Practice: Reflections for the Future” brings the June 2025 Harvard–CUHK Joint International Symposium back into focus—this time to turn horizons into routes. Three June speakers return as moderators, cueing curated highlight snippets from the June symposium to spark fresh dialogue with new discussants and real-time input from participants across the Americas and Asia–Pacific. The goal is practical: to translate June insights into actionable priorities that shape what we teach, what we study, and how we practice in global bioethics.

Special Panel Session on “Responsible and Ethical AI in Healthcare” in the Croucher Workshop

The Croucher Workshop on Responsible AI in Action: Cross-Disciplinary Strategies for Ethics, Governance and Safety was successfully held at The Chinese University of Hong Kong on December 1-2. The energy and depth of discussion underscored a global commitment to steering AI toward ethical, safe, and equitable outcomes.

The National Academy of Medicine (NAM) Distinguished Lecture cum International Health Policy Fellowship Seminar

Established in 2017, NAM’s first-ever International Health Policy Fellowship Program, in collaboration with CUHK Centre for Bioethics, seeks early- to mid-career scholars in the fields of bioethics, medical ethics and law, economics and health policy, and health care who are interested in — and committed to — improving care and access to care for patients in domestic and global health care systems.
